Getting Back into Pre-Baby Pants

(I will never be as thin as the model in this photo and that’s OK because I love curves) Big news, everyone! Today I am wearing a pair of pre-baby pants! Whoo! Yes, they are stretchy pants, but whatever. They zipper and I can wear them comfortably to work. Thanks, Jessica Simpson for designing them. I am thisclose to being able to wear my pre-pregnancy jeans. I can finally zipper them. I just don’t think I can sit down in them yet. But I’m almost there! My goal was to get back to my pre-baby body by my daughter’s first birthday in September. She’s almost 11 months old and I have a few more pounds to go, but I think I’ll hit my goal. I happily gained over 50 pounds during my pregnancy. I didn’t stress over what I ate, but rather consumed what my body needed to get through every nauseating day. I’m a vegetarian and just fed my baby meat!

I’ve been a picky eater my whole life. When I was younger, I used to eat veal all the time until I learned that it came from baby cows.  Then, I pretty much gave up consuming all land animal meat except for chicken. In 2009, I ate my last chicken tender from Burger King and went pescartarian. Since I’m allergic to most raw fruits, vegetables and soy, I eat fish for protein. Ok, and I love seafood. The hubby and I on our wedding day. Everyone asks me if my daughter will be a vegetarian like me or a meat lover like her daddy.  At her six-month doctor’s appointment, we were told she could start eating meat. It hurt my heart a little to feed her chicken, but I’m not going to deny my growing girl protein. When she’s older, she can form her own opinions and until then, my husband can cook her healthy chicken nuggets. But I think she might be more like her mommy anyway, because she won’t eat meat without some carrots on …
