Redecorating the House to Accommodate a Mobile Baby

My house has more accessories than I do, thanks mostly to Home Goods. But now that Genevieve is beginning to crawl and zooming around in a walker, I need to find a new place for all my decor. Goodbye, glass vase on the low-lying living room bookshelf. Goodbye books on the bookshelf. Hello, storage bins on the bookshelf. You look rather neat and tidy. I’ll miss the sparkle though. Oh, hey side table! Remember when you used to host frames? You’re now a placeholder for toys, sitting quietly until the baby crashes into you with her walker like a bumper car.
